Andy Hebenton did not "retire" - though he never played again in the NHL, he spent many years in the WHL, back when that was a prominent minor league.

The August 1964 trade of Barclay Plager to the Springfield Indians was made by the Montreal Canadiens.

Montreal had re-acquired Plager from Detroit in a cash deal, June 8,1964.
