9 - Pittsburgh traded Chuck Arnason and Steve Durbano and Penguins' 1st r/p, Paul Gardner, in 1976 Amateur draft to Kansas City for Simon Nolet, Ed Gilbert and Scouts' 1st r/p, Blair Chapman, in 1976 Amateur draft.

14 - Detroit traded Phil Roberto to Kansas City for Fred Harvey.

Vancouver traded Ab Demarco Jr. to Los Angeles for Kings' 2nd r/p in 1977 Amateur draft.

22 - Washington traded Bill Clement to Atlanta for Jean Lemieux, Gerry Meehan and Buffalo's 1st r/p, Greg Carroll.

27 - Boston signed Gerry Cheevers as a FA.


FEBRUARY 1976

23 - Minnesota traded Dennis Hextall to Detroit for Bill Hogaboam and Los Angeles's 2nd r/p in 1976 Amateur draft.
Washington traded Ron H. Anderson and Bob Gryp to New Haven (AHL) for Alain Langlais and Richard Nantais.


MARCH 1976

Boston signed Kent Ruhnke as a FA.

1 - Washington signed Rick Bragnalo as a FA.

6 - St.Louis traded Bert Wilson to Los Angeles for rights to Curt Brackenbury.

9 - Detroit traded Doug Grant to St.Louis for future considerations.
Philadelphia traded Ed Van Impe and Bobby Taylor to Pittsburgh for Gary Inness and future considerations.
California traded Dave Hrechkosy to St.Louis for Blues' 5th r/p, Cal Sandleck and Seals' 3rd r/p, Reg Kerr in 1977 Amateur draft.

10 - Minnesota signed Mike Antonovich as a FA.

24 - New York Rangers signed Gilles Gratton as a FA.

MAY 1976

26 - Boston traded Ken Hodge to New York Rangers for Rick Middleton.

JUNE 1976

Cincinnati (WHA) traded Mike Pelyc and rights to Randy Carlyle to Toronto for cash.

10 - Montreal Canadiens signed Rejean Houle as a FA.

11 - Buffalo signed Andre Savard as a FA.
Boston received Peter McNab from Buffalo as compensation for Sabres' signing of Bruins' FA Andre Savard.

12 - Montreal Canadiens traded Glenn Goldup and Canadiens' 3rd r/p to Los Angeles for Kings' 3rd r/p, Moe Robinson, in 1977 Amateur draft and Kings' 1st r/p, Danny Geoffrion, in 1978 Amateur draft.

23 - New York Rangers signed Nick Fotiu as a FA.

24 - Chicago signed Bobby Orr as a FA.


AUGUST 1976

7 - Pittsburgh signed Denis Herron as a FA.
Pittsburgh transferred Michel Plasse and Simon Nolet to Colorado as a compensation for Penguins' signing FA Denis Herron.
